Tonight at 7:05 p.m. ET the Los Angeles Dodgers (33-31) will kick off a four-game road set in Cincinnati where the Reds (29-31) will play host and try to get themselves over .500. Watch the game on ESPN or live stream it free by clicking this link. Dodgers fans can hear the radio broadcast on 570 Fox Sports LA, while Cincy fans may tune in to WLW 700. The Dodgers will trot out Dan Haren (5-4, 3.50 ERA) to the hill against Tony Cingrani (2-6, 4.09 ERA).
Haren kicked off the season in impressive fashion, while Cingrani's taken steps back from his 2013 showing for the Reds. Home runs have plagued both, especially Cingrani, who had shown signs of busting his slump in his most recent start.
He gave up two hits over five innings in his last outing, before getting touched up for two homers in the sixth. Still, the Reds lefty chose to look on the bright side "I had my old mechanics back," Cingrani told the team's official website. "I felt pretty good. My arm felt pretty strong. There were a couple of positives that came out of it."
He may have an easier go of it tonight, as Dee Gordon and Yasiel Puig are both nursing injuries and could miss tonight's action. Puig in particular has tortured Cincinnati pitching, with three home runs in his past seven contests against the Reds.
"I felt a stretch in the leg," Puig said after leaving the game early on Saturday. "I got treatment and hope it's not a big issue. I didn't want to come out, but medical said if I didn't come out, it could get worse."
Gordon had issues with his hip as well, but according to reports neither injury is considered serious, and both are listed as day-to-day.
