The FBI has collaborated with the local police in investigating break-ins that occurred during the last week involving Kansas City Chiefs superstars, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

Now, sources indicate that the FBI is assisting the Cass County Sheriff's Office in dealing with the Mahomes case while cooperating with the Leawood Police Department in dealing with the Kelce case.

According to TMZ, this does indeed call for a very serious intensification of the investigation since the FBI does not typically become involved in just any burglary spree. It may even be perceived as a matter of interstate organized crime.

When Did the Burglaries Take Place?

Mahomes' Belton, Missouri mansion was reportedly burglarized sometime around midnight on Oct. 6. The following day, on Oct. 7, Travis Kelce's Leawood, Kansas mansion was robbed.

The break-in reportedly occurred after the Chiefs' Monday Night Football game began, which also brought pop sensation Taylor Swift to town.

Damage and Stolen Goods

TMZ published the police report related to Kelce's burglary, which details what damage did occur to his back door, and avers $20,000 in cash was taken. How much, if anything at all, was allegedly taken from Mahomes' residence is unknown, but other neighbors around this neighborhood apparently reported similar break-ins, so presumably, it's an orchestrated crime.

Kansas City Chief Stars Remain Tight-Lipped About the Incidents

As per CNN, neither Mahomes nor Kelce said a word publicly about the incidents. However, both will likely be approached by the NFL media early this week to share their version of the events.

In regards to the FBI's involvement, a representative from the city of Kansas City declined to confirm or deny a matter of this type.

Still, this is an unfolding case, and law enforcement is eager to know more details of these burglaries carried out against the top athletes from the Chiefs.
