Spain winger Lamine Yamal is already one of the best football prodigies in the world, even at 16.
The FC Barcelona academy product is currently in his fourth year of ESO, the final year of compulsory schooling in Spain and comparable to high school in the United States.
Recently, he shared a message to his school teachers amid the Spanish national team's campaign in the ongoing UEFA Euro 2024.
"I hope my teachers are following the national team, that they are happy, and that they approve of me," the forward said in Spanish.
With two, Yamal is tied with nine other players as the top assist provider in the tournament.
The young Spaniard also made 50 appearances for FC Barcelona in the 2023-24 season, scoring seven goals and providing ten assists.

Before the beginning of the tournament, Yamal shared that he brought some of his homework to the tournament as he is still attending online classes for school.
Amid the tournament, the FC Barcelona forward learned that he passed his fourth-year ESO examinations and quickly called his mother to share the good news.
Spain will face fellow European powerhouse Germany in the quarterfinals of the tournament on Friday, July 5, at the MHPArena in Stuttgart, Germany.
