Brazilian legend Ronaldo Nazario is widely considered one of the greatest football players of all time. He dazzlingly drew fans during his prime in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

However, The Phenomenon confessed that he had lost interest in the sport that had brought him global fame and had turned his attention to tennis, citing a specific reason.

"I think I love more tennis now than football. It's unbelievable, I cannot watch football matches. I think it's too boring. But I can stay for 5 hours watching tennis. It's crazy," the 47-year-old said during tennis coach Patrick Mouratoglou's 10th Charity Gala.

The former striker, who won the Ballon d'Or award in 1997 and 2002, led Brazil to their fifth and most recent FIFA World Cup triumph in 2002.

Ronaldo is known for his time with FC Barcelona, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, and AC Milan.

Ronaldo also shared that he has spent time learning how to play tennis.

"I train three times a week. I'm still very competitive, I want to get better every day. But my backhand, oh my God. I think it is the only thing Patrick [Mouratoglou] cannot fix," added the third all-time top scorer of the Brazil national football team.

The ex-Real Madrid star attended the charity event hosted by French tennis coach Patrick Mouratoglou, who has guided many elite players such as Serena Williams and Grigor Dimitrov and is currently coaching Holger Rune.
