WWE star LA Knight is finally addressing the rumored backstage fallout with Drew McIntyre following the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble Match—and he's not pulling punches.
On a recent appearance on the "Gorilla Position" podcast, Knight shrugged off the speculation, claiming he was blindsided by the entire situation.
LA Knight Responds to Heat Rumors
According to Sports Illustrated, the controversy stems from reports that McIntyre, known as The Scottish Warrior, stormed out of Lucas Oil Stadium after his unexpected elimination, one allegedly botched by LA Knight. But according to Knight, he didn't even know about the incident until days later.
"I've always got heat. When don't I have heat?" Knight said. "At the same time, I'm too old for heat. I don't deal with that."
Knight told the podcast hosts that he hadn't seen Drew McIntyre backstage after the incident and only learned about the backlash through an article sent to him Sunday night.
The 42-year-old wrestler added with a smirk that McIntyre may have already been gone by the time he returned backstage, adding a subtle jab at McIntyre's early exit from the match.
Did They Clear the Air?
When asked if the two had a follow-up conversation after the incident surfaced online, Knight kept things vague.
While the details of those conversations remain undisclosed, the fact that both superstars are still active in major storylines suggests any tension may have been resolved—or at least professionally managed.
No Heat with Creative: LA Knight's WWE Rise Continues
If there was any real heat between Knight and WWE's creative team following the Royal Rumble incident, it didn't last long. Less than six weeks later, Knight dethroned Shinsuke Nakamura to become the WWE United States Champion, marking a major career milestone for the fast-rising star.

LA Knight Set for WrestleMania 41 Showdown
Now, all eyes are on WrestleMania 41, where LA Knight is set to defend his United States Championship against rising powerhouse Jacob Fatu on Saturday night. This will be Knight's first WrestleMania title defense, adding even more weight to an already heated rivalry.
Jacob Fatu, known for his intensity and brute strength, threatens Knight's reign. But as fans know, The Megastar thrives under pressure and is no stranger to overcoming the odds.
