Tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET the Brooklyn Nets will try to continue their dominance of the defending champion Miami Heat on TNT as they tip off Game 1 of their Round 2 Eastern Conference playoffs series. Live stream the game free by clicking this link; Nets fans can find the radio broadcast on WCBS 880 AM, while Heat fans may do likewise on 790 The Ticket.

The Nets are 4-0 this year vs. the two-time champions, and Heat shooting guard Dwyane Wade isn't happy about that. "They figured out a way to beat us four times and that hasn't happened," Wade said. "So we've got to crack that code."

While the playoffs is an entirely different animal from the regular season, rookie Nets coach Jason Kidd is leaning on that success to instill a healthy respect in LeBron James and co. "I think they know what's coming," Kidd said.

"We've seen them four times. I think we have the utmost respect for them and they have the utmost respect for us. Hopefully, it can be a great series."

The matchup of Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, who have a known history with the Heat dating back to the days of Garnett joining the Celtics in 2008. This season a clearly declining Pierce still dialed up some throwback efforts, scoring 21.3 points per game against Miami, his highest average against any opponent in the NBA. He averaged just 13.5 points per game during the year on the whole.

Pierce discussed their strong play vs. Miami all year, and noted their own championship aspirations. "The goal from the beginning when we came in here was to win a championship and we understand that in order to do that, you have to go through the best," Pierce said.

"And Miami being that team over the last couple years, we figured this was going to be a test for us."
