Russell Wilson, Ciara Relationship Update: Singer Is 'Happiest I've Ever Been' After Wedding [VIDEO]

Russell Wilson and Ciara are still very much in the honeymoon stage of their marriage.

The R&B singer and Seahawks quarterback tied the knot at the Peckforton Castle in the United Kingdom on July 6. After getting married and subsequently putting an end to their vow of celibacy, Ciara is still gushing about the wedding and her marriage.

"This is the happiest I have ever been," Ciara told People on Saturday. "Our wedding was like a fairy-tale."

Wilson and Ciara started dating in early 2015 and announced their engagement back in March. Their wedding was attended by about 100 guests and the "I Bet" singer said the couple absolutely loved the location.

"We loved the countryside," she said. "We looked at a venue in the U.S., but we also looked abroad, and England just seemed magical and perfect."

Not everything about their courtship has been magical, however.

Ciara's former flame, rapper Future, continues to be a source of drama in the couple's lives. Ciara and Future have a child together, Future Jr., and the father hasn't exactly been thrilled about Wilson taking on a step-father role to the boy.

Future was upset over Wilson having a great relationship with Baby Future and has been involved in legal battles with Ciara which range from custody struggles to accusations of defamation.

The singer revealed in court documents recently that she believes Future is hinting at murdering her new husband.

It's not only negative publicity that surrounds the high-profile couple, however, as they certainly love to put themselves in the limelight.

The couple was very forward about their vow to not have sex until marriage, something which they didn't necessarily have to make public knowledge. Now that the wedding is official, they made sure to go public about their sex life after being able to consummate their marriage as well.

At the very least, Ciara and Wilson are both very happy together.

The newly married quarterback will return to the gridiron on Sept. 11 when the Seahawks host the Dolphins in Seattle.
