Aaron Hernandez Prison Update: Former NFL Player Meets With Casey Anthony's Lawyer [VIDEO]

Aaron Hernandez is calling in the big defense.

The former Patriots player is trying to get his murder conviction overturned after he was found guilty in the murder of Odin Lloyd.

Hernandez met with attorney Jose Baez, who represented Casey Anthony and got her off during her murder charge, on Monday at Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center, according to TMZ Sports.

The former New England tight end had a consultation with Baez in a last-ditch effort to get his conviction overturned. Baez wouldn't confirm or deny to TMZ Sports if he was going to represent Hernandez.

Hernandez, 26, has another murder trial coming up, this time a double murder trial, for another incident in which he allegedly killed two people in a drive-by shooting. The former NFL star has denied any wrongdoing in all three of the murders, but hasn't had success in finding anyone to believe his innocence.

He is accused of of gunning down two men in a drive-by incident because they bumped into him in a bar and spilled his drink.

Hernandez was convicted in the June 2013 murder of Lloyd, who was a friend of his. Hernandez was found guilty of first-degree murder in April 2015.

The former football player then became infamous for writing letters while in prison.

"I have a TV in my cell! And yes I still root for my squad and still love all the ones I loved," he wrote back in February, according to TMZ. "The closest I was with was probably Brady and whom I love to death and always will and only hope the best for them. But was cool with Julez, Branch (I f**ked with and got mad love for) and 'the BEST TE ever to walk on a football field' Gronk!"

Hernandez spent three years in the NFL, last playing in 2012, and amassed 175 receptions for 1,956 yards and adding 18 touchdowns before flushing it all away.
