The 2016 Royal Rumble was all about "The Game."
Triple H came in as the No. 30 entrant and ended up last eliminating Dean Ambrose to capture the WWE World Heavyweight Championship for the 14th time in his illustrious career.

The match boiled down to Triple H, defending champion Roman Reigns, Ambrose and Sheamus. After Sheamus was ousted, Triple H threw out Reigns and disposed of the "Lunatic Fringe" to win the match.
The show ended with Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and Vince McMahon celebrating.

Reigns was the No. 1 entrant, but in the middle of the match, he was taken out by the League of Nations, who drove him through a table. He eventually returned.

Brock Lesnar came in at No. 23 and dominated from the get-go.

The Divas division also had a tremendous development as Sasha Banks laid out Charlotte after she successfully defended the Divas Championship against Becky Lynch.

--Dean Ambrose def. Kevin Owens in a Last Man Standing Match to retain the Intercontinental Championship.
--The New Day def. The Usos to retain the WWE Tag Team Championships.
--Kalisto def. Alberto Del Rio to win the United States Championship.
--Charlotte def. Becky Lynch to retain the Divas Championship.
--Triple H won the Royal Rumble Match to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
