Without a boyfriend to hold her back, Caroline Wozniacki is uttering some bold talk about 2016.
Currently the No. 17 player in the world, Wozniacki is in New Zealand as she prepares to open the 2016 season at the ASB Classic in Auckland from Jan. 4-9.

Wozniacki dropped from her season-ending ranking in 2014 of No. 5, but believes she's in shape for a bounce-back 2016, she told the New Zealand Herald.
A bounce-back that includes at least one major title.

"My goal is for this season to win one or more Grand Slams and get a medal at the Olympics in Rio," Wozniacki said. "There are many good players but I believe in myself and I know I'm one of the best players in the world. I have had a great offseason so I feel I'm on the top of my game.
"In this form I can beat anybody."
That would be quite a feat, considering the year her best friend, Serena Williams, just had on the WTA tour.
Wozniacki lost the 2014 U.S. Open to Williams, as well as the 2014 season-ending WTA Finals, as Wozniacki rediscovered her game in the second half of that season after a tumultuous first half.
Ex-fiancé Rory McIlroy called off their wedding and broke up with her over the phone just before the French Open. At the time, Wozniacki sounded ready to give up tennis to start a family before McIlroy dropped the bomb.
In 2015, Wozniacki was linked romantically to Texans defensive end J.J. Watt, as the two attended the NCAA men's basketball national championship game together. Watt even accompanied Wozniacki to this year's French Open. But by Wimbledon, the two apparently had gone their separate ways and Wozniacki was again without a boyfriend.
Wozniacki gained a lot more attention when she was spotted at a Miami hotel in the company of Celtics forward David Lee, but that encounter remains the only one to be made public. The Dane sounds as if she has some butt-kicking to do on the court before she gets involved in another relationship.
