As if it wasn't bad enough watching her husband Mat Latos' team get eliminated from the playoffs Tuesday night at the hands of the division rival Pirates, Dallas Latos alleges that a fan punched her in the head three times during the game at PNC Park in Pittsburgh due to her association with the Cincinnati Reds' hurler.
Dallas Latos tweeted the following last night:
Got punched in the head at least 3 times by a pirates fan so this has been cool.

Hey- I box for fun & didn’t even swing back bc it was so uncalled for. just blocked my head bc that’s what was attacked. Who does that?! — Dallas Latos (@DallasLatos) October 2, 2013
Latos said she was "ambushed at the Budweiser bar" by the woman who she alleges eventually punched her in the head three times. She also claims she was threatened by a large man who was being mean to Reds catcher Devin Mesoraco's grandmother. Latos said she tried to alert security after she told the man to stop and he threatened to beat her.
Latos also verbally attacked PNC ballpark security for not doing anything to try and find those responsible. She sent out a series of tweets Tuesday night describing what happened during the incident.
After her initial tweet, another Twitter user asked Latos if the hit to her head was intentional to which she responded: "I was grabbed by my hair and beat in the head. Pretty sure it was intentional."
Latos went on via Twitter: "Pittsburgh police can't arrest anyone on assault accounts so I'm the one who spent the game talking to law enforcement after being attacked."
Latos recounted the incident saying a lady "grabbed me by the hair and punched me in the head repeatedly." When a user asked her why she didn't get security to help, she responded that she talked to them but they "didn't care."
When a fan responded to her saying that she was just mad that the Reds were losing and was making up the fan contact, she then told the fan to "check police reports" before bashing the Pirates' security:
Just know that security knew I had been threatened multiple times (not even wearing Cincy gear), chose not to take action & I got attacked.

The Reds will pack it up after a 90-72 finish came down to one last game that the team failed to capture against Pittsburgh (94-68). The Reds now wait until next year after losing in the Pirates' first playoff victory in 1992. Pittsburgh moves on to play yet another division rival in St. Louis when the team meets with the Cardinals for the National League Division Series beginning Thursday.
Mat Latos finished 14-7 with a 3.16 ERA in 2013. He was sidelined from starting the wild-card game due to an elbow injury.
There have been no reports of a response from the Pirates' ballpark security or police, but it seems as though Dallas Latos will be all right for now, though she's still defending herself to some on her official Twitter account.
