Mike Ditka Packers Update: Saints Rob Ryan Is Latest Victim Of Coach's Curse [VIDEO]

No one is happy, except McDonald's, that Mike Ditka donned a Packers sweater.

The latest victim of the Ditka curse is former New Orleans defensive coordinator Rob Ryan.

New Orleans Saints Fire, Rehire and Re-Fire Defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan

Ditka, a coaching icon because of his 1985 Bears that won the Super Bowl, has been the subject of controversy for shooting a McDonald's commercial in a Green Bay sweater. Mike Singletary, the Bears middle linebacker on Ditka's Super Bowl team, took exception to seeing his coach in apparel of Chicago's most hated rival, according to CBS Sports.

Packers fans are unhappy because their team has gone on a three-game losing streak since his commercial first appeared, as reported by Sports Illustrated's Extra Mustard.

Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor Shouldn't Be Allowed To Comment On Greg Hardy

Ditka is mad over all the fuss about him putting on a sweater, telling an ESPN radio affiliate "I've got a case of I don't give a. ..." as reported by ESPN.

Ditka also coached the Saints for three years, and New Orleans also felt the effects of the coaching selling out.

New Orleans' defense has given up a combined 130 points in the three games since the airing of the McDonald's commercial with Ditka decked out in Packers green. The Redskins' 47-14 victory over the Saints was the last straw in Ryan's tenure.

Ryan even suffered the humility of having his firing leaked out, only to have Saints coach Sean Payton refute those reports and come back later and admit that Ryan was out.

Ryan also is the son of Buddy Ryan, former Bears defensive coordinator on that 1985 Bears team. There were reports that Ditka and the elder Ryan, who went on to coach the Eagles, often clashed and fought for control of the team.

And if there are any more doubts about the McDonald's curse, take note that the Cowboys also are 0-3 since 49ers Hall of Famer Jerry Rice wore one of their sweaters for another commercial. Of course, there are some naysayers that suggest Dallas' woes may be due to an injury curse to some other guy.
