Tonight at 10:00 p.m. ET on HBO the fifth episode of Hard Knocks, an annual five-episode documentary of an NFL training camp will air. This year's season will follow the Houston Texans, and can be live streamed free by clicking this link. Here are three things to watch for during this episode as the Texans' training camp continues.
What’s Up With Arian Foster?
Hard Knocks has not kept viewers abreast of Foster’s ongoing situation with his groin. It’s been out in the news that he is certain to miss regular season time, but a glimpse into how long would not only be interesting, it’d be useful. THINK OF THE FANTASY TEAMS HBO!!!
Being that Arian Foster passed physical, PUP was not an option. Foster could return in 4 weeks but could be out 6 or more weeks. Team unsure
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) September 7, 2015
In all seriousness, ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted he might be back in four weeks, or he might miss more than six. Even the team reportedly doesn’t know anything more than he won’t be placed on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. If you haven’t drafted yet and you’re gambling on Foster, have depth, or be sure to nab Alfred Blue.
Vince Wilfork Doing A J.J. Watt Impression
Throughout Hard Knocks we’ve seen J.J. Watt doing superhuman things like flipping 1,000-pound tires, and standing about two feet away from a Juggs machine and catching high-speed footballs like its nothing. He’s also done non-position related things like practice one-handed grabs from that machine.
Now it’s Wilfork’s turn. He hinted at his possibilities when he flashed a sweet jump shot on the basketball court, but wait until you see him challenge U.S. women’s national team star Carli Lloyd to a kicking competition.
Please…More Sean Hayes!
This drum cannot be banged enough. It’s a travesty that every episode hasn’t featured at least one new wrestling impression from assistant strength coach Sean Hayes. His Macho Man Randy Savage and “Nature Boy” Ric Flair impressions are entirely too good to be the only ones he has in his bag of tricks.
