St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said Saturday that he lost a lot of respect for former NFL quarterback Bernie Kosar after he was highly critical about the Rams.
Kosar had some harsh comments about St. Louis backup quarterback Kellen Clemens in general, when he served as color commentator for the Cleveland Browns during their preseason opening 27-19 victory over St. Louis last Thursday.

In response, Fisher was less than pleased following Saturday's practice when he was asked to comment on Kosar's jabs.
"First off, let me say this: the Cleveland Browns' organization is a first class organization from top to bottom and it has been that for years and years and years," Fisher said per USA Today. "I guess I'm a little disappointed. I feel bad for them that they had someone doing their broadcast feel the need to speak that way about players, specifically on our team and coaches for that matter."
Kosar's main jabs were directed at Clemens. Kosar said he "can't stand watching him play."
"I'm just surprised that Bernie has such a lack of respect for players and this game," Fisher said according to USA Today. To be honest with you, I lost a lot of respect for him. It's highly unlikely he knew anything about our football team, but felt the need to make those comments. I don't think they were justified."
Fisher thought that Kosar was wrong about Clemens, who has been a professional for eight years and went 6-for-13 for 116 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. Clemens is expected to be the No.2 behind Sam Bradford this season.
"Bernie's got his issues; they're well documented," Fisher said to USA Today. "Kellen played well, he played hard, he made plays."
Fisher is in his second year coaching the Rams, and is hoping for a better season than his first campaign that saw the team go 7-8-1 and finish in third place in the NFC East. The Rams are looking to make it to the playoffs for the first time since 2004.
Kosar, whose NFL career spanned from 1985-96 was a one-time Pro Bowler and one-time Super Bowl Champion with the Dallas Cowboys in 1993.
