While Charlotte has played hard in three straight losses to the two-time defending NBA champions, tonight will be the steepest hill yet that they must climb. Center Al Jefferson, who has been playing with an injured plantar fascia, is unlikely to take the court tonight.

"He's not close to where he was for the last two games," Bobcats head coach Steve Clifford said. Jefferson himself admitted the pain's been excruciating, and it seems he might be out for the forseeable future. "I wouldn't wish this pain on anyone," Jefferson said. "It's the worst pain I've ever dealt with in my career."

He also described the sensation as feeling like he is "walking on needles." Point guard Kemba Walker said the team is prepared to move forward with out Big Al in the fold, and intimated that they are proud of what he was able to provide while injured.

"He has given us all he can," Walker said. "And I think down to a man we appreciate his effort. He's been nothing but great for us. He has been playing really well and he's not 100 percent." In Game 3 he was able to muster up 20 points and five rebounds, while dropping 18 points and 13 rebounds in Game 2.

Meanwhile, Miami star LeBron James appears healthy as a horse. He is pacing the Heat in points (29.7) rebounds (8.3) and assists (five) per game.
