Here at Sports World News we will count down each NFL teams’ 2014 draft needs and perfect fits. At the end of every team we will make a pick on who the team could take at their position.

2013 Review: The Steelers' late 8-4 run was almost enough to get them into the playoffs, but it was too little too late for Pittsburgh. The Steelers looked like a different team after starting 0-4 and can look to carry that momentum into 2014. First Pittsburgh needs to find some help at positions they are usually solid at. Cornerback is an issue due to Ike Taylor’s inability to handle No. 1 receivers anymore and defensive end could use a major upgrade.

Needs:
Defensive End:
Ziggy Hood was terrible in 2013, but Cameron Heyward looked like a first round pick for the first time in his career. The Steelers could use more rotational players to get involved and hope that one develops into a three down starter. Past Heyward the Steelers are looking for answers.

Cornerback: Taylor was brutal this past season and the league’s top receivers torched the Steelers constantly. Getting another corner would go a long way for the Steelers to improve the pass defense and moving Taylor over to the No. 2 corner position would do wonders for him. This is the most likely position group the Steelers will address on day one.

Wide Receiver: The Steelers lost Mike Wallace a year ago and lost Emmanuel Sanders this year. The likes of Lance Moore and Darrius Heyward-Bey aren’t serious or long term solutions. With this draft being one of the deeper wide receiver drafts in years, this would be an excellent time for the Steelers to invest in young talent.

Targets: Eric Ebron, TE, North Carolina
Justin Gilbert, CB, Oklahoma State
Odell Beckham, WR, LSU
Darqueze Dennard, CB, Michigan State

Best First Round Fit: Justin Gilbert, CB, Oklahoma State
The Steelers need secondary help and Gilbert is this draft’s best when it comes to corner. he needs some coaching and wouldn’t be a great player right away, but the Steelers are the best in the business at coaching up talent. This could be one of few perfect matches in the 2014 draft and Gilbert could tap into his true potential with a little push from the right coaching staff.
