Here at Sports World News we will countdown each NFL teams’ 2014 draft needs and perfect fits. At the end of every team we will make a pick on who the team could take at their position. Today is the AFC Champion Denver Broncos fresh off their Super Bowl beating. Can they rebound?

2013 Review: Peyton Manning had the best statical season of any quarterback ever, but this season will go down as a disappointment. No matter how well the Broncos played in the playoffs and regular season they were no match for the Seahawks. It’s back to the drawing board for the Broncos and the signings of T.J. Ward, Aqib Talib and DeMarcus Ware after releasing Champ Bailey is more than enough to consider them greatly improved. The Broncos showed they can come back from adversity in 2012 by advancing further in 2013. Are they up to the challenge again? Oh and they have Peyton Manning.

Needs:
Cornerback: The Broncos signed Aqib Talib, but Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is a free agent and they recently cut aging Champ Bailey. They have a need for a second corner and preferably a younger one. If they resign Rodgers-Cromartie they will be set for the immediate future, but put themselves at rick down the line. At this moment the Broncos are in full win now mode.

Wide Receiver: Eric Decker is most likely leaving town for greener pastures and Andre Caldwell won’t cut it as a No. 2. Luckily for Denver this is a draft that is incredibly deep at wide receiver and at the end of the day they still have Wes Welker, Demaryius Thomas and Julius Thomas to throw to.

Linebacker: Wesley Woodyard moved inside and he struggled even before his injury. Denver should use a pick on linebacker rather early and even if he doesn’t pan out he could do much better than Paris Lenon. A young leader on the defense could be a nice addiction to a team with nothing at MLB.

Targets: Kony Ealy, DE, Missouri
Ryan Shazier, LB, Ohio State
Kyle Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech
Brandin Cooks, WR, Oregon State

First round prediction: Ryan Shazier, LB, Ohio State

Shazier is the type of leader the Broncos need for the future and has room to grow with the current leadership already on board. The Big Ten product will benefit from having the likes of Von Miller, T.J. Ward, the newly aquired DeMarcus Ware and Peyton Manning on his side and could develop into something special. Shazier fills a huge need for the Broncos and in the early stages of free agency they can still fill this and other needs.
