Here at Sports World News we will count down each NFL teams’ 2014 draft needs and perfect fits. At the end of every team we will make a pick on who the team could take at their position.

2013 Review: The Jets pulled as close to a miracle as you can imagine by going 8-8 considering the lack of offensive talent and lackluster quarterback play. Geno Smith showed flashes at times, but now has to compete for the starting job with Michael Vick. The run game and defense were the huge positives for the Jets and they look to get better as the Jets pursue Chris Johnson. Rex Ryan is back for at least one season, but can the Jets beat the odds again?

Needs:
Wide Receiver:
Adding Eric Decker was only the start of the complete rebuild for the Jets passing attack. Adding another receiver next to Decker would go a long way toward seeing if Smith is the answer at quarterback. The jets draft should be all if not mostly offensive players and luckily it’s a very receiver heavy draft.

Safety: Ed Reed is a bandaid on a bigger problem the Jets will have in 2015. Reed is a shell of his former self and even Rex Ryan couldn't fix him. It’s time for find a real long term solution to the position or the deep ball will be the one thing the Jets defense cant stop.

Tight End: It was like musical chairs for the Jets at tight end because Kellen Winslow can be too inconsistent and Jeff Cumberland is more of a No. 2 option. The Jets could take Eric Ebron at No. 18 and be set at the position for the next five years. Ebron would turn tight end from a weakness into a strength of the offense over night.

Targets:
Mike Evans, WR, Texas A&M

Eric Ebron, TE, North Carolina
Odell Beckham Jr., WR, LSU
Brandin Cooks, WR, Oregon State

Best First Round Fit: Mike Evans, WR, Texas A&M
The Jets will be taking someone who can catch the ball, it’s a matter of who not if. Evans will more than likely not be available at No. 18, but he would be the best fit for the Jets. The more likely option is whoever is on the board from Cooks and Beckham, but Evans is head and shoulders better than both of them. If the Jets can make a move and go get Evans they would have a great compliment to Eric Decker.
