Amar'e Stoudemire hopes Knicks willing to reinvest in Big 3 of Carmelo Anthony, STAT, and Tyson Chandler

Amar'e Stoudemire thinks Phil Jackson and the Knicks would be wise to reinvest in a Big 3 attack of himself, Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler.

Stoudemire tells Fansided.com not only does he not want to leave New York, but if he had things his way he would retire as a Knick. Rumors abound that the oft-injured big-man could be a cap-casualty this summer as the Phil Jackson era kicks off in earnest.

Carmelo won't wait on Knicks

But, on the strength of his recent four-game run of averaging 19 points and seven rebounds and the team's current seven game winning streak, Stoudemire is hoping he and the aforementioned trio will get another look.

"I want to be a Knick for life and win multiple championships here," said Stoudemire. "I don't want to go anywhere else, especially with Jackson coming in. He has an incredible legacy; it's probably unmatched. With a leader like that, it can only become a positive output with that type of leadership."

Jackson has been quick to go on record in asserting he hopes free-agent to be Anthony elects to return to the Knicks this season, but thus far he has been largely reticent when it comes to Stoudemire.

Perhaps with that mind, Stoudemire seems to have a message for his new boss.

Joakim Noah recruited Melo to Chicago?

"I came here to help the Knicks win," Stoudemire recently told reporters. "That's why I don't want to leave. I want to be here for the long haul and do whatever it takes to win, so whatever sacrifices I have to make, I will be willing to make them."
