The Irish are 2-0 so far in the first round, winning in a multitude of ways. They were tested to the wire by Zimbabwe in the opener, needing a late wicket to emerge with a win, then followed it up by crushing the United Arab Emirates. By virtue of these two victories, they are far out in front to qualify for the Super 10.
The Irish will get their opener Paul Stirling back from injury, who has struggled a little with the bat but did snag two wickets against the U.A.E. Ed Joyce and William Porterfield picked up the slack for Stirling however, and have helped Ireland piece together cohesive outings.
That hasn't exactly been the case for the Netherlands, who have relied on their bowlers for the success they've had so far. Captain Peter Borren heads up the crew of bowlers, while Tom Cooper is the anchor to a lineup that hasn't hit its stride.
To advance, the Netherlands not only need to score a big win over the unbeaten Irish, they must win with a run rate of at least +0.094. Also, Zimbabwe has a sleeper shot at advancement, but will need to win its match by an even higher rate than the Netherlands.
