Today at 13:30 GMT, or 8:30 a.m. Bangladesh will shoot for a third consecutive victory in the World T20, of which it is host, when they take the oval against a struggling Hong Kong squad. Live stream the action for free here.
The host team is acquitting itself well through two matches in this edition of the World T20, first thrashing Afghanistan by nine wickets, then dispatching Nepal by eight wickets and stunting the momentum they had built by beating Hong Kong. Because they were able to romp in those two matches, Bangladesh is a virtual lock to reach the upcoming Super 10.
A big reason for their success has been Shakib Al Hasan, who has become Bangladesh's all-time leading scorer in international cricket with 6,670. Al Hasan is a quality all-rounder, who is responsible for all those runs as well as a top-notch spinner. In the T20 opener alone Al Hasan was three for eight and helped limit the Afghans to a paltry 72 total.
Hong Kong's proving to be a bit in over their heads here in Bangladesh, but if they are to pull off a shocker today they will undoubtedly need Haseed Amjad, a player born in Pakistan, to take his spinning up another level. He had a great outing vs. Nepal, posting a three for 25, which gives his teammates hope today.
