CM Punk quits WWE [VIDEO]: Announcers caught saying Punk chants should 'go away' during chants on Monday Night RAW

Ever since CM Punk reportedly walked out prior to the Jan. 27 edition of Monday Night RAW, fans of the WWE have started to chant his name prior to and during events. It happened again before Monday night's RAW, and the announcers were picked up by their headsets talking about the chants and how they should "go away."

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, prior to Monday night's edition of RAW, the fans were told by the ring announcer that the show was about to go live, and when they started a "CM Punk" chant. Announcer Michael Cole discussed it and his comments were picked up on his headset by the live feed.

"There you go that will drown out soon," Cole said when the chants began. "How about go away? Go away."

Jerry "The King" Lawler chimed in, chanting "go away, go away" and then saying once the chants died down that, "It doesn't last long does it?"

Announcer John "Bradshaw Layfield then added, "No it doesn't, there's not a lot of determination to that chant."

Punk walked out prior to the Jan. 27 RAW due to disputed reasons and hasn't returned since and it's unclear if he's willing to hash it out with the company. One reason that is thought to be tied to Punk leaving the company was due to his frustration with his status in the WWE and his place on the WrestleMania XXX card in New Orleans on April 6 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Reports last week indicated that Punk was upset with "part-timers" such as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Batista returning to the WWE for brief stints and headlining the biggest show of the year while guys like himself and Daniel Bryan--who he recently said he believed should main event WrestleMania XXX--are placed in the midcard at the big event.

Rumors circulated that Punk was set to take on Triple H at this year's event and that he was unhappy that he wasn't going to get a chance to fulfill his dream of main eventing a WrestleMania before his contract expires in July. Punk reportedly wasn't planning on returning to the company once his contract was up but stormed out two weeks ago at RAW.

Another reason linked to Punk leaving was that he may have been injured at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view the night before he walked out and his frustrations mixed with an injury could have led to him walking out on the company.

Reports earlier this week indicated that WWE CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon was determined to get Punk back any way that he can due to the fact that he's a huge draw, Vince likes him personally and he brings in money for the company, but it remains to be seen if Punk will find his way back to WWE television or if he truly is done with the company.

For now, it seems as though the "CM Punk" chants will continue until the situation is resolved.
