Rumors of a Blake Griffin for Carmelo Anthony deal that surfaced a little earlier in the season were quickly shot down, but Anthony might be wishing he was a Clipper this day. A frustrated Anthony chastised his teammates for not bringing a superior effort against the Pacers last night.

"It's a frustrating loss, man," Anthony said. "We're on the road and I felt like we could have played a lot better, a lot harder, than we did out there tonight. This was a big game, against a big-time team, and we didn't bring it."

The Clippers are once again without star point guard Chris Paul, but are entering play with a four-game winning streak. Still, head coach Doc Rivers has criticized his players for "inconsistent" play, especially during a 4-3 road trip in December. "We want to play better. We really do, even without Chris," Rivers said.

"I thought we were very inconsistent in our play. And you have to be a consistent team on the road. That doesn't mean you're going to win, but I think you give yourself a (better) shot."

Griffin agreed with Rivers that keeping this streak going is a major goal. "We want to perform a lot better than we did that last road trip," Griffin said. "I thought it was pretty disappointing last time around, so it's going to be tough being on the road in the same situation without our point guard. But guys have to step up and I'm sure guys will."
