Tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET the Golden State Warriors (20-13) the Warriors will carry their six-game winning streak into American Airlines Arena in Miami, where the defending champion Heat (24-7) await. Live stream the game here; Warriors fans can catch the radio broadcast on 680 KNBR, while Heat fans can listen to LeBron and co. on 560 WQAM.
The Heat are 14-2 on their home floor this season, defending it like Smaug defends his precious treasure. The Warriors are .500 on the road this year, but may get to face Miami with Dwyane Wade out of action.
"He's just sore," coach Erik Spoelstra said. "His back tightened up, he was in (the locker room) with the thought it would loosen up and he could get back out there, but he just didn't." LeBron James had some problems with his groin in addition to Wade's issues, but James had a 26-point, 10-assist performance against Denver on December 30th.
"I took nine 3s and all of them felt good," James said. "The groin wasn't an issue at all."
The Warriors have won six consecutive games, but hearing Stephen Curry discuss the game it is clear that Golden State wants this game badly.
"We need to bring the same intensity (vs. Miami)," Curry said. "We feel like if we play the way we are supposed to play, we can beat everybody in this league. That is the mindset that we have and it is nice to have everybody healthy and ready to go to finish out this road trip and keep the momentum that we have."
Stopping Curry will be essential to Miami's chances at victory; he enters the game leading the Warriors in both points (22.9) and assists (9.5). For Miami, Chris Bosh has been resurgent, earning player of the week honors after averaging 23.8 points and 8.3 boards.
