Tonight at 10:30 p.m. ET the San Antonio Spurs (20-5) will meet up with the Golden State Warriors (14-12) for the second time this season, this time at Oracle Arena in front of the Warriors' rabid fans. Watch the game on TNT or live stream it here. Spurs fans can listen to the matchup on 1200 WOAI, while Warriors fans can follow along in audio fashion on KNBR 680.
Their last meeting was a low-scoring affair, with the Spurs leaving victorious by a score of 76-74. This time around, the Warriors will have Andre Iguodala back, who made his return to the court on Tuesday against the Pelicans. He played in 17 minutes and had no setbacks to his hamstring.
"I got tired of watching," he said after missing 11 games. "You get a new appreciation for the game, especially seeing your brothers struggle."
Warriors head coach Mark Jackson was thrilled to get his multi-faceted weapon back on the wing. "He's a guy that makes life so much easier for everybody on the floor," Jackson said. "His ability to make plays, his ability to read and react, we missed him. Glad to have him back."
Spurs point guard Tony Parker missed San Antonio's win last night, and could be without him again tonight due to a bruised shin. Manu Ginobili picked up the slack though, netting a season-high 24 points. Phoenix Suns forward Channing Frye was very impressed by Manu's performance.
"It's like a bad nightmare," Frye said. "He's absolutely amazing. He just does a good job of continuing to push. I thought he was getting tired there at the end. Obviously, I was wrong."
When asked about facing a Parker-less Spurs team, Jackson clearly would prefer he sat out, but isn't underestimating them under any circumstances. "It makes a difference, but they still find ways to execute and hurt you. They've got guys that know how to play and know how to win ballgames."
