CM Punk is finally ready for a fight.
The former WWE Superstar-turned-MMA fighter is set to battle Mickey Gall on Sept. 10 at UFC 203, which emanates live from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.
The event is headlined by UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic's defense against Alistair Overeem.
The UFC announced in a tweet that the fight is now official, which will mark the debut of the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion. There have been several setbacks to Punk's debut after he signed on with the MMA promotion, but after all of the delays, the bout will come to fruition in September.

Punk then took to Twitter and fired off a tweet regarding Cleveland, the host site of his fight:

The "Best in the World" bolted from the WWE in January 2014 despite being under contract, and his deal eventually expired that June. When December rolled around that year, it was announced the former WWE Champion -- who has never had an MMA fight -- signed a two-year deal with the promotion.
Though he was inked to a deal in December 2014 by the UFC, he has yet to get into the Octagon due to many setbacks, most recently a back injury that required surgery.
Punk, 37, has many people and pundits doubting him, but he believes he'll make a smooth transition into the Octagon. He'll face a huge challenge in the 24-year-old Gall, who is unbeaten in his brief UFC career thus far.
There have been rumors that Punk's training hasn't gone well, but he has plenty of confidence heading into his first fight.
Though he has many detractors, Punk will officially get a chance to prove them wrong when he goes face-to-face with Gall at UFC 203.
