At 7:00 p.m. ET the Philadelphia 76ers (3-0) will look to continue their shocking hot start against one of the NBA's most feared offensive clubs, the Golden State Warriors (2-1) in action that can be live streamed here. Sixers fans can listen to the game on WPEN-FM, while Warriors fans can catch the radio broadcast on KNBR 680.
While much of the talk concerning Philadelphia this preseason contained the word "tanking," the players and staff to a man dismissed the chatter that they'd be willfully putting a lesser product than possible on the floor so they can increase their chances at a No. 1 pick.
After winning the first three games of the season, perhaps NBA observers will be more willing to take them at their word. "We understand what everybody has said and written about us," head coach Brett Brown said. "Our guys have put in the day-to-day stuff, which has always been our message. I'm lucky I've found a group that enjoys each other's company and they enjoy playing together."
The main reason for Philly's hot start has been rookie point guard Michael Carter-Williams, whose one assist per game away from averaging a double-double.
"Coach gives me a lot of confidence out there," Carter-Williams said. "I'm able to play freely and I just try to make things happen within the team. I try to do my job out there and get all my teammates involved. They did a great job. And when they do a great job, it makes me look good."
He will face a stiff test tonight, though, when Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson come to town. They've keyed Golden State's 2-1 start and high-powered offense that's putting up 112 points a night.
"They are two great shooters," coach Mark Jackson said. "These guys put a lot of time into it, they have an incredible gift and it's a beautiful thing. Very fortunate to have a front row seat watching those two guys shoot the basketball."
