Triple H WWE Rumors: Potential Opponents For 'The Game' After Signing 3-Year Extension [POLL, VIDEO]

Tags: Triple H

For the next three years, it's still time to play the game.

Triple H has been noticeably absent from WWE television while the storyline between Vince McMahon, his son Shane and daughter Stephanie continues to play out. "The Game" still appears to have plans to wrestle in the future.

The "Cerebral Assassin" signed a three-year extension to continue in the WWE as a wrestler through at least WrestleMania 35, according to Wrestlingheadlines.com. The deal came to fruition on May 9 and means Triple H can return to active competition whenever he wants.

With Triple H planning on having a few more matches, here are three potential opponents for "The Game:"

1) Seth Rollins

In a classic mentor vs. protégé matchup, this one must happen. It seemed the WWE may have been planting seeds for an eventual feud between the two after "The Architect" began using the Pedigree as his finisher. Before Rollins' knee injury sidelined him back in November, it appeared the WWE was going to start forming cracks in The Authority leading to an epic showdown between these two. When Rollins returns, he could be a full-fledged babyface or have a slow turn by saying Triple H moved on from The Authority's golden boy in his time of need. Rollins vs. Triple H would be an epic clash, suitable for SummerSlam.

2) The Rock

"The Brahma Bull" teased a future altercation with "The Game" and though they've had many battles throughout their illustrious careers, they never went one-on-one at WrestleMania. The Rock and Triple H took part in a Fatal 4 Way elimination match with Big Show and Mick Foley at WrestleMania 2000. With this year's edition of the "Show of Shows" taking place in The Rock's home state of Florida, it would be fitting for him to face one of his chief rivals. After all, the seeds were planted at WrestleMania 31 when "The People's Champion" and Ronda Rousey took out Triple H and his wife.

3) AJ Styles

The "Phenomenal One" can put on a good match with just about anyone, and while he's had some tremendous bouts with Chris Jericho and Roman Reigns, he's yet to mix it up with "The Game." This feud could be sparked instantly by having Triple H, a WWE guy, make fun of Styles for never making an impact in wrestling's big leagues. Styles could respond with a challenge for the COO, leading to what would be an epic clash between two tremendous athletes.

Which Superstar would you rather see Triple H feud with?
