Dallas Mavericks Spoof Ylvis 'The Fox': 'What Do The Mavs Say' [VIDEO]

The Dallas Mavericks kick off their season tonight at home against the Atlanta Hawks, and might have made hordes of new fans after releasing what's sure to be an internet sensation.

Dirk Nowtizki is featured prominently in What Do The Mavs Say, a spoof on Ylvis' hit song What Does The Fox Say. The original video features humans bizarrely dressed as animals, with lyrics crooning the various sounds creatures make. The sounds are presented in the way parents teach these things to children. The thrust is that many sounds are known, except for that of a fox.

Well in Dallas, they seem to be less concerned about foxes, and more interested in what songs the Mavs make. Nowitzki was already "internet famous" for his hilarious stint as a guest announcer for a Dallas game in which he reacted to a Brandan Wright slam.

He was calmly speaking when Wright jammed home an alley-oop, prompting the seven-foot German to stand and scream "Shut it down! Let's go home!" In What Do The Mavs Say Dirk is far less understandable, and utters almost nothing but primal, high-pitched sounds while clad as a fox.

Another Maverick who receives a star turn in this phenomenal remix is Vince Carter, who gets a chance to fly solo while screeching, "Joff-tchoff-tchoffo-tchoffo-tchoff!" while wearing an elephant's nose.

The Mavericks hope both stars are as impressive on the court as they are in front of the video camera, as they'll be counted on to carry Dallas' offense this year along with new point guard Jose Calderon.
