Brie Bella Retirement WWE Rumors: 'Total Divas' Star Comments On Regrets Of Departing During New Women's Movement [VIDEO]

WWE Superstar Brie Bella is calling it a career after over eight years with the company, but she's doing so at possibly the worst time.

The organization has finally taken women's wrestling seriously and though the hope for the future began on NXT, it has now finally crept up to the main roster. The WWE finally changed the Divas division into the Women's division and gave the ladies an awesome title to feud over by ditching the much-maligned butterfly belt.

These changes all came to fruition during WrestleMania 32 on Sunday, a night where Bella subsequently participated in her final match. Former WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan's wife led her Total Divas team (Alicia Fox, Paige, Natalya and Eva Marie) over Team B.A.D. & Blonde (Naomi, Tamina, Summer Rae, Lana & Emma) by making Naomi tap out to the Yes Lock.

After the match, Bella was hoisted up by her fellow teammates and her injured sister Nikki came out -- neck brace and all -- to celebrate her twin's final match. Since the bout, Bella has been peppered with tributes from her peers on social media, yet the WWE has curiously kept her retirement under wraps despite it being common knowledge.

The company reportedly wants to save her retirement storyline for "Total Divas," but it doesn't make sense that they wouldn't give such a long-tenured employee a proper sendoff due to a reality show. Nevertheless, everyone knows that Bella is hanging up her wrestling trunks to start a family.

One of her fans tweeted toward Bella asking her how she felt about the new belt, and her response was very telling:

Though Bella is gone, the future of women's wrestling is in amazing shape.

Charlotte is leading the way as Women's Champion, while Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and Paige are three faces of the future and Bayley, who is absolutely changing the landscape of the division in NXT, isn't far away from making an impact on the main roster.

After Bryan retired in February due to head injuries, his wife will now join him on the sidelines in the midst of a real revolution for women's wrestling.
