METS vs ROYALS Watch FREE Live Stream Online & Listen: MLB Opening Day 2016 Live Coverage From Kansas City

As the MLB ushers in Opening Day, one of the featured games will see the Mets face the Royals in a rematch of the 2015 World Series.

Kansas City toppled New York in five games to win its first World Series in 30 years. The Amazin's enter 2016 looking to secure their first title in three decades after coming so close last season.

The Mets will look to do what the Royals did last year. Kansas City fell to San Francisco in the 2014 Fall Classic only to return there the next year and defeat New York. The Mets hope to replicate the feat after surprising many by reaching the World Series for the first time in 15 years last season.

Matt Harvey (13-8, 2.71 ERA in 2015) mans the mound for the Mets on Opening Night, while the Royals counter with Edinson Volquez (13-9, 3.55).

The Royals are the favorite to win the AL Central as they return mostly the same unit as last season. Kansas City boasts a pesky lineup that makes contact, is hard to strikeout and uses its speed to its advantage.

The Mets shockingly re-signed Yoenis Cespedes to place in the middle of the order after it was expected they'd let him walk. The outfielder hit 17 homers in 57 regular season games after being acquired late last season.

New York also revamped the middle of its infield by adding second baseman Neil Walker and shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera this offseason.
