The off-court drama surrounding the Lakers is more enticing than their performances on it.
The relationship between Nick Young and Australian rapper Iggy Azalea is in great jeopardy. It's all due to a secret recording Young's teammate, D'Angelo Russell, secretly made of "Swaggy P" admittting he cheated on Azalea.
In the video, which surfaced on social media last week, Russell is heard prying into Young's personal life and asking about women he's been with behind his fiancee's back. Young talks openly about a 19-year-old girl he got with last summer, while he was still with Azalea.
"You was 30 and she was 19?" Russell asks in the film, according to the New York Post.
"What about Amber Rose, you never tried," Russell asks.
"No, she knows my girl," Young says of Azalea.
Young apparently didn't know he was being recorded and when Russell remarked that he's glad he told his video that, his teammate simply says, "huh?"
Azalea and Young got engaged last summer and postponed the wedding recently, but that was mostly so that the rapper can go on tour. Now, there are a lot of questions surrounding their future.
There have been a lot of mixed reactions to Russell's video leaking, but Azalea was quick to respond on social media:
hmmm i see D Angelo Russell is trending... I actually liked his film. Thanks bro.

While Azalea was fine with learning of her fiance's trists, former "Basketball Wives" star Laura Govan said Russell "broke the bro code" and that there's "a lot of shade in the NBA," according to TMZ.
On the court, the Lakers are 15-59 and the season just can't end soon enough for them as they once again are playing out the schedule rather than waiting for the playoffs. The team has also isolated Russell, according to ESPN, and many of his teammates no longer trust him.
"He has to be held accountable, but I would hope he isn't overly criticized for it," a source told ESPN.
This drama is certainly more interesting than the Kobe Bryant farewell tour.
