It's the NFL offseason, so Doug Baldwin had plenty of time to plan out his engagement.
The Seahawks wide receiver popped the question to his girlfriend, Jennilyn DeJesus, Thursday night, but it didn't come without its buildup.
Starting on Feb. 29, the religious receiver took to Twitter and sent out a tweet that read "Matthew 3:16."

On Thursday morning, he followed it up by sending out a bible verse in yet another tweet.

Finally, the plan came to fruition as the Super Bowl XLVIII champion revealed a photo of himself on one knee, proposing to his girlfriend on a rooftop. It was on March 3, 2016, hence the "Matthew 3:16" references.
