While the Miami Heat may have to worry about LeBron James giving them the Cleveland Cavaliers treatment and making a "decision" to leave them for another team if he opts for free agency in the summer of 2014, that team could be in another league: the National Football League. James was asked on Twitter about whether or not he had any desire to play in the NFL and responded that he would like to play at least one game on the NFL's gridiron someday.
The tweet mirrors a commercial he did years ago in Cleveland when he made a "shocking" decision to leave basketball during his time with the Cavaliers, in order to pursue a career with his hometown Browns:

James is an avid football fan and roots for the Dallas Cowboys, often sharing his insight on the team via the social media site. James used to play football but hasn't hit the field since his high school days, though Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant said it would take some time for King James to get used to playing professional football, while he praised James for his athleticism.
"That dude is just that talented," Bryant told ESPNDallas.com. "I think it would take him probably about a good two weeks to get very acquainted with football, knowing what he's supposed to do. I think that's all he'd need with his physical ability. I've seen a little bit of his highlights from high school. He's got the hands, he can run the routes, he's fast enough. He could play in this league if he put it all together."
While James will put that dream on hold to pursue another dream of winning a third consecutive championship with the Heat, it remains a possibility that one day he may try his hand in football, though his tweet may not be taken too literally depending on how it's perceived.
James won his fourth Most Valuable Player award in five seasons last year by averaging 27.6 points per game while he helped lead Miami to its third consecutive NBA Finals appearance and second NBA title in a row.
As the Cowboys (4-3) pursue an NFC East Division crown, James and the Heat will embark on their attempt of winning another title when the season tips off at home against the Chicago Bulls on Oct. 29.
