Tyson Fury Rumors: 'Gypsy King' Hate Crime Investigation Is A Waste Of Time [VIDEO]

Tyson Fury, the new heavyweight champion of the world, was stripped of his IBF title this week. And that’s the least of his problems.

Fury is being investigated by Greater Manchester Police for racist comments he spewed on BBC's Victoria Derbyshire. Fury, who calls himself a devout Christian, made the following comments which many found offensive, and has people calling for his removal from consideration for Great Britain’s Sportsman of the Year (SPOTY) award.

Tyson Fury Is Actually Married

"There are only three things that need to be accomplished before the devil comes home: one of them is homosexuality being legal in countries, one of them is abortion and the other one's paedophilia. Who would have thought in the '50s and '60s that those first two would be legalised?"

Fury has also been harshly criticized for his views on women’s role in society. “I believe a woman's best place is in the kitchen and on her back. That's my personal belief. Making me a good cup of tea, that's what I believe,” Fury said. It should be noted that Fury is married, and he says his wife “knows her place” in the marriage.

Removing Fury from SPOTY consideration would be a wise decision, but the investigation by police is wholly unnecessary. Fury has not backtracked from his original comments, telling radio host Jeremy Vine, "Let's not try and make me out to be some evil person and I hate gays because I don't hate anybody. I can actually say I don't hate anybody."

It is probably best for Fury to lay low for a while. Instead he does this.

As far as his belt is concerned, these issues related to his comments about gays and women were not why he was stripped of the IBF title. That happened because he refuses to fight their No. 1 contender, Vyacheslav Glazkov. That has apparently escaped Fury, whose Twitter handle leaves the impression he’s slightly unhinged.
