Recent stories have come out contradicting earlier reports that the 2007 Heisman Trophy Winner, NFL player wannabe and current SEC Nation analyst and Nick Jonas' ex-girlfriend ever dated.
"It's true ... Tim Tebow did NOT have sex with ex Miss Universe Olivia Culpo, but that didn't break them up -- because they weren't actually dating ... TMZ Sports has learned," the gossip website reported.
Tebow had shown an attraction for Culpo and the two hung out together among a group of friend, but the relationship never was romantic, TMZ Sports added.
The timing of the denial is curious, considering that Tebow and Culpo have been rumored to be a couple since September, and the denials of a relationship surfaced only after reports exploded that Culpo dumped Tebow because he wouldn't have sex with her.
It's possible that Culpo was riding the wave of publicity of being linked with the mercurial Tebow until it turned into bad press.
But the whole affair -- or non-affair -- makes it difficult to determine who was clueless, sexually or otherwise: Tebow, Culpo or the media?
