WWE SmackDown Spoilers: Results From Final WWE SmackDown Tapings Before Battleground For 10/4/13 From Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Reports indicate that the following was taped for the final SmackDown before WWE's Battleground pay-per-view this Sunday, Oct. 6. The tapings took place Tuesday night from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and are set to air this Friday, Oct. 4:

In the main event of the evening, The Big Show defeated Randy Orton and The Shield in a four-on-one match by disqualification after Orton attacked him with a steel chair. The Usos and Daniel Bryan rushed out to Big Show's aid and the show ended with the face superstars standing in the ring as the crowd chanted "Yes!"

The match was set up at the very opening of the show when The Big Show came out and said he was fed up and going to lose it soon while blaming Triple H for making him feel that way. Triple H came out and reminded Show of his financial troubles before making the announcement that Show will now be taking on Orton and The Shield in the main event.

In the storyline involving the World Heavyweight Championship, Rob Van Dam and Fandango fought to a disqualification after Summer Rae got involved in the match. Following the match, Van Dam hit the Van Terminator assisted by a trashcan on Fandango. In a later segment backstage, Van Dam presented the trashcan as a gift to his Battleground opponent Alberto Del Rio. Later on in the night, Del Rio defeated Dolph Ziggler via submission.

In an in-ring promo that promoted another high profile match at Battleground between CM Punk and Ryback, Paul Heyman came out to the ring and shot down CM Punk while saying that Ryback will destroy him at the pay-per-view. Ryback was in action earlier in the night and defeated R-Truth, and Curtis Axel attacked Truth following the matchup.

In other action, Los Matadores defeated Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal. Following the match, El Torito splashed the entire 3MB on the floor. Elsewhere on the program, Brie Bella defeated Aksana and following the match, the Bella Twins celebrated until AJ Lee and Tamina Snuka interrupted and AJ Lee cut a promo on Brie and their encounter at Battleground.

Also during the tapings, Kofi Kingston defeated Big E Langston with a roll up and Bray Wyatt cut a promo imploring the WWE Universe to follow the buzzards to Battleground.

The final buildup to Battleground is most noted for The Big Show and Triple H conflict as tensions continued to rise there and Randy Orton and The Shield once again showed their dominance until Bryan came out to further the build up for the Orton and Bryan faceoff at Battleground.
