FanDuel Strategy NBA: Best Bargains In A Full Sunday Lineup

Don’t care about football? Then why not kick back, watch some basketball and win some money? Here is a winning lineup on FanDuel while everyone else’s attention is on the gridiron.

PG1: Goran Dragic, Heat ($6,300): Dragic is up against a Rockets backcourt that usually treats defense as optional. This has the potential to be a high-scoring affair, and Dragic has no issue with run-and-gun battles.

Kobe Bryant To Take Fewer Shots

PG2: D’Angelo Russell, Lakers ($5,300): The rookie will have up-and-down games, but there’s no doubting he already has the ability to get to the rack. If Kobe Bryant can reel back just a little bit and allow L.A.’s young players to spread their wings, he might be pleasantly surprised.

SG1: Dwyane Wade, Heat, ($7,100): It’s early in the year and Wade’s not banged up yet. Take advantage of these precious times when Wade’s at his strongest, because the ability is still there. Expect Wade to be extra fired up going against James Harden, who has stolen his spot as the NBA’s best two-guard.

NBA's Top 5 Rookies After One Week Of Games

SG2: Dion Waiters, Thunder ($4,300): Waiters is completely capable of laying an egg. He also can drop more than 20 points. At $4,300, the upside is definitely high enough to take the rrisk against a bad defensive team.

SF1: Tobias Harris, Magic ($7,100): Harris is a total stat-stuffer, with no conscience regarding his shot attempts. He is going to get his, regardless of matchup, so don’t get spooked by the fact he’s up against the Bulls. Tom Thibodeau’s gone anyway so their defense isn’t what it used to be.

SF2: Danilo Gallinari, Nuggets ($6,600): The Italian Stallion is healthy, and even though he’s overrated as a 3-point shooter, he gets shots up. With Emmanuel Mudiay at the point Gallinari will see a lot of nice looks, and OKC looks like a sieve defensively.

PF1: Chris Bosh, Heat ($8,000): Bosh gives you rebounding, points, blocks (maybe?) and 3-point shooting. That’s a rare combination to have in one player, and the other guys who offer that tend to be in the $10,000-plus range. Bosh’s ceiling is slightly lower than the Kevin Durant types, but your roster as a whole is deeper with Bosh as the anchor.

PF2: Kenneth Faried, Nuggets ($6,900): Rebounds! Get your rebounds here! Faried is guaranteed to eat glass like nobody’s business, but when he’s hot he can put up quite a few points as well. He’s a nice complement to Bosh, who sometimes drifts in the rebounding category.

C: Nikola Vucevic, Magic ($7,900): Don’t expect much passing, but Vucevic is a points/rebounds monster. Even better, the 7-footer has apparently learned how to use his size to become a force of destruction on defense. Through two games, he’s averaging 3.5 blocks. If that keeps up, he won’t be a sub-$8,000 player for long.
