WWE 'Survivor Series' 2015 Rumors: Projecting The Card For The WWE's Thanksgiving Week Tradition [VIDEO]

Since its inception in 1987, the WWE Survivor Series has been the company's Thanksgiving week tradition.

5 Traditional Matches For Survivor Series

In its initial years, the franchise focused heavily on tag team wrestling by having Superstars team up in traditional elimination matches, and while that still is a part of the event, the WWE has curtailed the tag bouts back a lot through the years with only one or two appearing on each card.

Last time, we looked at possible traditional matches the company could put on when the event emanates from the Philips Arena in Atlanta on Nov. 22. This time, we'll look at a more likely card the WWE will put together.

WWE United States Championship: Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler

Del Rio shocked the world when he returned to the WWE and dethroned John Cena at Hell in a Cell on Sunday, but with the "Cenation" leader taking time off, he needs a new adversary. "The Showoff" is in the same boat as his feud with Rusev dissolved upon the news of the "Bulgarian Brute's" real life engagement to Lana leaking. With both men in need of new programs, they could begin to feud through November, leading to a bout at Survivor Series.

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Kevin Owens (c) vs. Neville vs. Sheamus vs. Cesaro

All four of these guys have been toiling around in the midcard and Owens could use a new challenger now that he's toppled Ryback twice. Having three men go after his belt could create a sense of urgency and a need for survival.

WWE Tag Team Championships: The New Day (c) vs. The Dudley Boyz

This has been an entertaining feud, especially due to The New Day having the time of their lives with it. The Dudley Boyz have been getting screwed left and right, so the WWE could ban Xavier Woods from ringside to ensure a fair fight. The New Day will still somehow find some way of escaping, leading to a Tables Match between the two sides at TLC.

WWE Divas Traditional Survivor Series Match: Charlotte (captain), Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks & Natalya vs. Nikki Bella (captain), Brie Bella, Alicia Fox & Paige

With Paige turning full blown heel and feuding with Charlotte, Lynch and Natalya, she could definitely pair up with Team Bella to formulate a formidable heel team. The babyface squad could then inherit Sasha Banks because the WWE needs to stop holding her down. This has the potential to be a pretty fun elimination match.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Seth Rollins (c) vs. Roman Reigns

The WWE didn't specify when the leader of the Roman Empire will get his title shot after he won a Fatal 4 Way on RAW to become No. 1 contender, but it makes sense for it to go down at the November Classic. The WWE has been trying to take a patient approach with Reigns after the WWE Universe turned on his forced Royal Rumble win in January, but they may finally pull the trigger on their attempt to make him the next big star. With Rollins done feuding with Kane, he could enter a long-term program with his former Shield stablemate.

4-on-4 Traditional Survivor Series Match: The Wyatt Family (captain Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan & Braun Stroman) vs. The Undertaker (captain), Kane, Dean Ambrose and The Rock

There have been rumors swirling that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson may return to the company for a match at Survivor Series, and he could team up with fellow WWE legend The Undertaker on his 25th anniversary. The WWE seems to be planting the seeds to a traditional match as The Wyatt Family kidnapped Kane and "The Deadman" on consecutive nights. Given that Reigns is busy with Rollins and Ambrose has history with the Wyatt's, it would make sense that he would be a part of this match as well.
