Kevin Durant will be the subject of many rumors this season, as his impending free agency this summer will generate LeBron James-level buzz. Durant doused the fire with a healthy dose of gasoline Thursday night by appearing on the Redskins sideline.
Durant, a Washington D.C. native, has been linked to the Wizards for more than a year. Last night, he probably got his hometown fans very excited even if he didn’t intend to. Durant was tossing footballs on the sideline in a No. 35 Redskins jersey. Durant has even created Redskins-inspired shoes before, which may fuel speculation more that he’s itching to come home after eight seasons with Seattle/Oklahoma City.
