Against its better judgment, the WWE appears to be pushing for a Seth Rollins vs. Kane encounter for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Hell in a Cell.
Brock Lesnar Has 4 Possible WrestleMania Opponents
Kane, who is 48-years-old and has had more face and heel turns than anyone in wrestling history (we're making that up, but Big Show gives him a run for his money) is about to be the No. 1 contender for the richest prize in the game.
There is still hope that the WWE comes to its senses and by the time the lights come up for Hell in a Cell at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Rollins has a new challenger. With there being so many fresh feuds that could happen, here are three possible replacements for "The Big Red Machine."
6 Worst Undertaker Hell In A Cell Matches
1) Cesaro
For the love of God, WWE, can you please do something with this guy? The "Swiss Superman" seems to have everything that the company could ever want in a main event-caliber star. He can talk on the microphone, he is in tremendous physical shape, he has charisma out the wazoo and the fans love him.
Yet time and time again the WWE de-pushes Cesaro for unknown reasons. Did he make passes at Stephanie McMahon or something? The WWE should finally give him a chance to shine with a worthy competitor like Rollins.
2) Dolph Ziggler
Speaking of guys with untapped potential that seemingly have everything the WWE could want, "The Showoff" certainly resembles those qualities. Ziggler is fantastic in the ring and can put on a great match with anybody. It's hard to imagine what he and Rollins would be capable of accomplishing in a 20-30 minute match.
You'd need a net to catch all the jaws of the WWE Universe that would likely hit the floor if these two ever mixed it up for the WWE Championship. Instead what do we get? Ziggler is trapped in a boring relationship storyline with Lana and feuding with Rusev and Summer Rae. To make matters worse, the guys competing in the ring are playing second fiddle to the ladies. I'm all for a Divas Revolution, but that storyline is absurd.
3) Triple H
The WWE has been hinting at a mentor vs. protégé match, and the majority of the WWE Universe would much rather see them pull the trigger on it already than give Kane his 100 millionth chance at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Cracks in the foundation have already been forming between "The Game" and "The Architect," but the WWE seems to be saving the blow off to their feud for later this year or early next year.
Though a match like this should probably be saved for another big event rather than Hell in a Cell, it's much better than seeing Kane suck it up in the ring. Plus, the way they've booked Rollins as a heel lately, a face turn would be a welcomed change.
