You have to admire Lolo Jones' candor, even though Serena Williams may not appreciate her humor for a few days. If at all.
Jones stuck up for Drake after media reports surfaced suggesting that Drake was responsible for Serena losing during the semifinals of U.S. Open to 300-1 underdog Roberta Vinci.
Serena Williams Ridicules Media After Beating Sister Venus
Drake has a history of jinxes in sports, having been blamed for collapses by the Toronto Raptors and the Kentucky Wildcats basketball team.
Well when Serena breaks it off with Drake I'm here for you boo. My season is already in the crapper so no one will blame you.— Lolo Jones (@lolojones) September 11, 2015
As several of the media reports noted, however, Drake also was present at Wimbledon when Williams won the championship for her fourth consecutive Grand Slam victory. But that was before visual evidence was supplied that the two were a couple.

In fact, Jones had an opinion on those photos as well, voicing her displeasure at the union and calling Williams the "competition."
Drake and Serena making out?! Bad enough competing against his groupies and now the best female athlete?! pic.twitter.com/wJtVuGnkt2— Lolo Jones (@lolojones) August 24, 2015
Jones does pay homage to Williams in a tweet after making herself available to Drake.
I look up to her so much. Winning or in defeat. I would trade 10 of my good days for one bad day of Serena's— Lolo Jones (@lolojones) September 11, 2015
But Serena might not exactly be in a mood to tolerate Jones' wit - especially with Jones making a play - even a playful one -- for Williams' boyfriend.
Then again, Jones has shown uncommon interest for the rapper on social media.
She got in hot water last year when Drake was tabbed for hosting the ESPYs. She made a casual joke about Drake and Rihanna and was blown up on social media.
It'll be interesting to see if Drake and/or Serena responds to Jones.
