In his latest rap, New York Knicks guard Iman Shumpert responded to hip-hop artist Kendrick Lamar's controversial song Control with some rhymes of his own.

Earlier this week, Lamar's verse on Big Sean's Control, a song where he lyrically criticized a variety of hip-hop artists and ripped on them, created a lot of controversy and buzz. A lot of rappers have responded with lyrical barbs of their own intended to insult the originator of the rap.
Lamar even stepped outside of the hip-hop community in the song, rapping about former NBA coach Phil Jackson, with Lamar deeming himself "uncoachable."
Jackson retweeted a person who asked him what it was like to be name dropped by Lamar on the track.

ESPN reported that Jackson even had a tweet of his own that said, "It's okay to be cocky and sure, but we all need somebody to lean on. Let's just call it mentoring," but the tweet has apparently since been deleted.
Shumpert made news this week for appearing on first lady Michelle Obama's healthy living-conscious hip-hop album and has released his own rap album in the past, and now is focusing on Lamar with his "Dear Kendrick" song.
Shumpert told ESPN he raps religiously and calls himself a "two-headed monster" for rapping and playing basketball.
In his second year with the Knicks last season, Shumpert played in 45 games and scored 305 points with 75 assists and 136 rebounds. The Knicks (54-28) won the Atlantic Division last season and were second overall in the Eastern Conference, but fell to the Indiana Pacers in six games during the second round of the playoffs.
