After her shocking segment at WrestleMania 31 in March, Ronda Rousey is clamoring for a return to the squared circle.
The reigning UFC Women's Bantamweight champon spoke with WWE.com and said that though she's busy right now with her schedule, she hopes to return to the ring eventually.
"You know, I was backstage and I got to talk several wrestling legends, so many," Rousey said. "It's such an over-stimulating day that I forgot who told me this, but he said, 'You never really retire from wrestling; you can't. You just step away for awhile.' Life is pulling me in a bunch of different directions and I'm forced to step away for awhile. But there's no way, after getting a taste like that, I could never go back in for seconds."
Rousey, who was promoting her memoir My Fight / Your Fight that she co-wrote with her sister, Maria Burns Ortiz, described her experience at WrestleMania 31 on March 29 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
"It was like if you were an avid baseball fan your whole life, and you went to watch the World Series and they asked you to come in and pinch hit, and you went out and hit a home run in front of everybody," she said. "It was that level of "dream come true."
Rousey made a huge impact when she appeared at WrestleMania 31 in a segment alongside Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Rousey got into a verbal and physical altercation with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon and ended up knocking both of The Authority figures out.
After Rousey took out the power couple, there were rumors that Rousey will battle McMahon at WrestleMania 32 in Texas next year or team with The Rock to battle "The Game" and McMahon in a mixed tag team match.
UFC president Dana White dashed the speculation when he told the Fight Network that it was a "one-off" thing and that Rousey won't return to wrestling.
Since then, "Rowdy" has vowed to return to the squared circle while Stephanie McMahon told Chris Jericho on his WWE Network podcast that nothing was planned as of now.
It remains to be seen what will happen, but Rousey has her sights set on a return to the WWE.
