Woods, attacked the 56-year-old, Oscar Cantu, leaving him with a broken nose and broken blood vessels in his eye. Cantu admits he and Woods were going at it from the get-go, but their argument turned into rage quickly.

Kevin Weinberg, the Little League District 11 coordinator for using profanity, disciplined Cantu earlier in the game. "We do not tolerate that in any of our parks," Weinberg told Cantu before leaving to another diamond at Maurice Matthys Park in South Bend.

Later on, Weinberg was informed of a fight going on at the field where he scolded Cantu earlier. "I hear somebody yell there's a fight going on," said Weinberg. Cantu described confusion when Woods went after him saying, "All of a sudden we were arguing and I was on the ground- I didn't see it coming. I didn't know what happened. I was on the ground and when I looked around I knew there was a couple of my kids that were crying," Cantu said.

The T-ball attack happened in from of Cantu's five-year-old grandson, who had asked him before the season started to coach his team. "I said fine. I couldn't resist those little blue eyes of his." Cantu's eyes were certainly not blue after his incident with Woods. In a television interview Cantu's eye is not fully opened, and looked to be a sickly red from all the broken vessels.

Cantu required hospitalization following the beating, sustaining injuries to his ribs and thighs in addition to the broken nose and damaged eyes. Some witnesses say a third coach was involved in the fracas, and police are urging anyone with video or photos of the fight to come forward.
