Jay-Z Performs Picasso Baby [VIDEO] In NYC Art Gallery, Chases Dodgers Yasiel Puig For Roc Nation Sports

Jay-Z, who dropped his new album Magna Carta Holy Grail on July 4th, is a master of creative promotion. That's why patrons of Pace Gallery in New York were treated to a performance of Picasso Baby, the second track on Jay-Z's album inside a real art gallery.

Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, performed for six hours as he repeatedly rapped Picasso Baby over and over to different groups of people, occasionally being joined on stage by guests like Marina Abramovic, a performance artist who came face-to-face with the world's most famous rapper. Judd Apatow, Adam Driver of Girls, and Laurie Simmons were all spotted at various times taking in Jay-Z's performance.

The footage of Jay-Z rocking the gallery will reportedly be used in a music video to be done by Mark Romanek, who worked on H.O.V.A.'s iconic 99 Problems video.

Jay-Z is a busy man, though, and when he's not rapping about his daughter playing with expensive Basquiat paintings, he is running Roc Nation Sports, the agency that prompted the rapper to declare "Scott Boras, you over baby," in another Magna Carta track called Crown.

The newest athlete the Jigga Man is looking to add to his stable is scorching Los Angeles Dodgers rookie outfielder Yasiel Puig, according to Yahoo! Sports. The rookie is credited with lifting the Dodgers back into the playoff picture, and for good reason.

Puig is batting .394 in 35 games with eight home runs, 19 RBI and five stolen bases. He has also flashed a rocket right arm in right field, and plays with wall-crashing reckless abandon. Yahoo! also reported Roc Nation Sports is interested in representing fellow Cuban star Yoenis Cespedes.

Jay-Z currently represents Yankees star Robinson Cano, as the rapper also boasted on Crown. In other sports, Carter counts Kevin Durant, Victor Cruz, Skylar Diggins and Geno Smith as clients.
