After 12 seasons in the NFL, Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu is finally hanging up his cleats.
Known for his hard hits and big, curly head of hair, Polamalu played on two championship teams and will go down as one of the greatest to ever play the position.
He leaves the sport with 770 tackles, 14 forced fumbles, and 32 interceptions in his career.
Reaction to his decision on social media was swift, and appreciative.
From a franchise filled with great football players, Troy Polamalu goes down as one of the greatest of all.
