Jay-Z Disses Scott Boras On New Album, Magna Carta Holy Grail: "Crown" [VIDEO]

Jay-Z, world famous rapper, businessman, and now sports agent, had some words for super agent Scott Boras on "Crown," a track on his brand new album Magna Carta Holy Grail, which was released today.

On the song, Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, raps, "Scott Boras, you over baby. Robinson Cano, you're coming with me." Cano, the star second baseman of the New York Yankees was a former client of Boras, and is in line for a tremendous payday when the season ends, most likely from the Yankees.

Jay-Z has also landed NBA superstar Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder, rising star wide receiver Victor Cruz of the New York Giants, rookie New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith, and high-profile WNBA player Skylar Diggins, who excelled in college at Notre Dame.

Scott Boras, not intimidated by the rap luminary fired back at Jay-Z wen asked about the rapper's insult. "My music taste, I love jazz. I'm a huge Bernie Williams fan."

Williams is an ex-Yankee, one of the most beloved wearers of the pinstripes thanks to his key role in each Yankees World Series title from 1996 to 2000. He doubles as a jazz guitarist, and has released two albums, as well as performed with Bruce Springsteen.

While Boras' quip was clever, there's no doubt Cano's defection from his stable will sting his wallet. Cano is currently the top player on baseball's premier franchise, arguably the biggest brand in professional sports.

This season, Cano is batting .299, with 20 home runs, 56 RBI, and five stolen bases, which is already more than he had all of last year. He is also slugging .541, the highest mark in his career. Despite being 30 years old, Cano is likely to command a deal no shorter than seven years, that could possibly be in the $200 million range.
