Richard Sherman, the mouthy All-Pro cornerback for the Seattle Seahawks has continued the ongoing, entertaining offseason back and forth with fellow NFC West power, the San Francisco 49ers.
Recently, Jim Harbaugh raised eyebrows when he said he "definitely noticed" the high number of Seahawks involved in performance-enhancing drug stories. One of those players was Sherman, who appealed his case last season and was victorious, missing no time.
Sherman, who played for four years at Stanford under Harbaugh told Total Access, "I don't have a relationship with him. I don't try to go any route with him. I don't deal with him; he is not my coach. So I deal with what is going on in Seattle and I keep it there."
Other Seahawks have previously chimed in about their distaste for their rivals' head coach. Seattle's other starting cornerback, Brandon Browner, who did serve a PED suspension last year, said he'd like to put his hands around Harbaugh's neck, while wide receiver Golden Tate said he would give Harbaugh "the Sean Lee treatment" if given the opportunity. He was referencing a blindside block he laid on the Cowboys linebacker that knocked him out of a game.
Sherman, known for his incendiary comments, held back from such explosive fare. All Sherman would say is, "I think his comments are what they are. We are going to be the bigger team, the bigger players."
Last year few players in the entire league played as "big" as Sherman, who appeared in all 16 games, intercepted eight passes, recorded 24 pass defenses, and even notched a sack. Before his newest verbal entanglement, Sherman was noted for two other public spats this offseason.
In the first, he appeared on ESPN's First Take and attacked co-host Skip Bayless, claiming to be "better at life" than Bayless, and taunting him by saying Bayless will never achieve what he has already accomplished at the age of 25.
More recently, he angered Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White by saying he was not one of the top 100 players in the NFL, and that his teammate Julio Jones is who opposing defenses game plan for.
