Could Daniel Bryan be leaving WrestleMania with some gold for the second straight year?
Bryan, who won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship last year at WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans, appears to be the favorite to win the Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match at WrestleMania 31 this Sunday night at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
According to F4WOnline.com, the plan as of last Tuesday was to have "The Beard" defeat all six other men in the Ladder Match at WrestleMania and leave California as the Intercontinental Champion.
Plans could change and there have been rumors that Sheamus could make a surprise entrance into the match and win the title, but there have at least been plans in place for Bryan to win the gold.
Bad News Barrett will be defending his Intercontinental Championship against Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, Dean Ambrose, Stardust, Luke Harper and R-Truth in the match, which is almost certain to steal the show Sunday night.
Ziggler picked up a big win over Bryan on RAW Monday night to put some momentum in the "Showoff's" favor. There were previously rumors that Bryan vs. Ziggler would happen at WrestleMania, but the WWE opted to change plans.
There is said to be a big push backstage to make the WWE's midcard titles mean more and that likely will lead to Bryan walking out as Intercontinental Champion and John Cena overcoming Rusev to win the United States Championship at WrestleMania.
Bryan has held the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, the United States Championship and the Tag Team Championship in his career, but he's never been Intercontinental Champion.
It appears after ascending to the top of the mountain a year ago, the "YES Movement" may take the midcard by storm at WrestleMania 31.
